a song haunting me

"Welcome," said the spider,
"Come right in."
"I’m so glad to have you,
I feel mighty thin."

"Rest your weary bones,
put down your pack;
the time has now come
to have a snack!"

i'm not a perfect person. there are many things i wish i didnt do
but i continue learning. i never meant to do those things to you.
and so i have to say before i go, that i just want you to know

i've found a reason for me, to change who i used to be
a reason to start over new, and the reason is you

i'm sorry that i hurt, its something i must live with everyday
and all the pain i put you through, i wish that i could take it all away
and be the one who catches all your tears, thats why i need you to hear

i'm not a perfect person, i never meant to do those things to you
and so i have to say before i go that i just want you to know

i've found a reason for me, to change who i used to be
a reason to start over new, and the reason is you
i've found a reason to show a side of me you didnt know
a reason for all that i do, and the reason is you

another second hello?

The dreams I have are unrepeatable
and you always play a starring role
I'm just glad to have the time with you
it's the only place where we can go

I walk around the next day in a daze
flashes of a feeling of your face
three photographs, a letter and my memories
are all I have to fill the space

Now you've gone, now you've gone
but I keep missing you
I keep missing you
now you've gone, now you've gone
but I keep missing you
I keep missing you

Sometimes I laugh the way you used to laugh
or say the things you used to say
if you can see me now
just give me a sing
'cos I can't believe you've really gone away

Now you've gone, now you've gone
but I keep missing you
I keep missing you
now you've gone, now you've gone
but I keep nissing you
I keep missing you

The way you tossed your hair
and fooled around
will we ever meet again

Now you've gone, now you've gone
but I keep missing you
I keep missing you
now you've gone, now you've gone
but I keep nissing you
I keep missing you

bathed in salt and ash

Hold your nose and jump in
It's only one step at a time
Keep your sights on your destination
If you know what you want
Out of life
Take a chance
Cos what have you got to loose
I'm telling you wait for your dreams
Even when you feel like giving up
Just tell yourself the harder it is
harder it is
The stronger you'll be
And believe in yourself
You can be whoever you are
whoever you are
Just do what you feel
Like a phoenix from the fire

Give yourself the freedom
To go and make your own mistakes
Everyone's going to have an opinion
Of the decisons you make
It's your life
So do what you got to do
Let nobody stand in your way
Telling you to change
Your mind's made up

Just tell yourself the harder it is
harder it is
The stronger you'll be
And believe in yourself
You can be whoever you are
whoever you are
Just do what you feel
Like a phoenix from the fire

Let nobody stand in your way

Just tell yourself the harder it is the
harder it is
The stronger you'll be
And believe in yourself
You can be whoever you are
whoever you are
Just do what you feel

Tell yourself the harder it is the
harder it is
The stronger you'll be
And believe in yourself
You can be whoever you are
whoever you are
Just do what you feel

Like a phoenix from the fire

You light up another cigarette
and I pour the wine
It's four o'clock in the morning
and it's starting to get light
now I'm right where I want to be
losing track of time
but I wish that it was still last night

You look like you're in another world
but I can read your mind
how can you be so far away
lying by my side
when I go away I'll miss you
and I will be thinking of you
every night and day just...

Promise me you'll wait for me
'cause I'll be saving all my love for you
and I will be home soon
Promise me you'll wait for me
I need to know you feel the same way too
and I'll be home, I'll be home soon

When I go away I'll miss you
and I will be thinking of you
every night and day just...

Promise me you'll wait for me
'cause I'll be saving all my love for you
and I will be home soon
Promise me you'll wait for me
I need to know you feel the same way too
and I'll be home, I'll be home

Promise me you'll wait for me
'cause I'll be saving all my love for you
and I will be home soon
Promise me you'll wait for me
I need to know you feel the same way too
and I'll be home, I'll be home soon.
